Postcards are not long or detailed, but they highlight the excitement you feel when experiencing something unusual and memorable. This year we asked all our partners to tell one brief story for the Annual Report to get a sense of what they think has made a difference.

The DIPD Annual Report 2014 is now available for download. A new four year period for the Board, a new strategy for the next three year funding period, Danish politicians participating in missions to Bhutan and Myanmar, delegations from many countries visiting Denmark and the People’s Meeting, these are just some of the highlights in the 2014 Annual Report.

In 2014 DIPD collected its experiences thus far about capacity building in political parties. The document is not a manual in the traditional sense, nor is it a tool box, a guide or a reader. It is in fact just a ‘document’, explaining the approach to capacity development taken by DIPD in the first years, based on the experiences harvested between 2011 and 2014 – and linked to the DIPD strategy for 2014-17 called “Ideas than can inspire”.

The DIPD Annual Report 2013 reflects on the many lessons learnt during the first three years of work by the Danish political parties and the institute. What ideas did we start out with? What changes did we make?

The DIPD Annual Report 2012 tells frontline stories from the different political battlefields, we have decided to engage in, and presents the most significant results.

Is support to political parties and civil society two sides of the same coin? In societies where democracy is severely challenged the difference is not always as clear cut as it should be.
